Taking inspiration from IESE Business School’s list of ‘Business books to lead with speed, to innovate and to bring work-life balance’ on the occasion of the World Book Day, we have come up with the list of some additional books we think modern day leaders must read to #StayRelevant in the changing times:

  1. The Infinite Game by Simone Sinek – The journey of leading digital transformation is never ending or as Simon calls, it is ‘The Infinite Game’. In the new normal, where digital transformation has become even more critical, this book offering a framework to lead with an infinite mindset is a must read for every leader.
    “Leaders who embrace an infinite mindset build stronger, more innovative, more inspiring organizations. They are the ones who lead us into the future.”, reads the book description.

  2. See Sooner, Act Faster: How Vigilant leader thrive in the era of digital turbulence by George S. Day and Paul J. H. Schoemaker  – In this VUCA world, the authors with the examples of Adobe, MasterCard, Honeywell and Amazon show how vigilant leaders not only act faster but also act wisely to achieve organizational goals.

  3. Art of war by Sun Tzu – The timeless classic by Chinese military strategist, on warfare is today the most beloved book by business leaders. It talks about how a good leader should make effective plans, build credibility, the techniques of picking up the right people and most importantly courage to lead in the difficult times, is has become a must read today when World is dealing with one of the most testing times of global pandemic.

  4. Who Moved My Cheese: An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life by Spencer Johnson –  The book talks about the Cheese, a metaphor for all we want in life, a good job, a relationship, money assets, health and peace of mind.  The problem is that the cheese keeps moving.  There cannot be the better book we need to read NOW in the times, of corona, where the world as we knew has changed forever. Our cheese has changed its place – the mode of education, the nature of our jobs has changed and it’s the need of the hour to accept and deal with the change.  The book helps readers to best deal with and even enjoy the change.
